The Indian government has banned more than 100 mobile apps on Wednesday, including the popular mobile game Pubg Mobile.
The ministry of information and technology has banned a total of 118 mobile apps. The current situation between India and China over the border row in Ladakh could be the reason for this step.
Govt Banned 118 Mobile Apps including Pubg Mobile:
Earlier in June, the government had banned 59 mobile apps, including the widely popular apps TikTok, UC browser, and We chat. “The government blocks 118 mobile applications which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order,” the ministry said in their statement.
The ministry said it had received many complaints from various sources that “many mobile apps misusing or stealing the users private in an unauthorized manner and sending to the server which have located outside of India.”
