Guess the Word is a Roblox puzzle game where each level shows you two pictures side by side. Your job is to work out the single word those two pictures make together. Type that word in and you move on to the next level.
The first levels take a few seconds each, because the pictures point straight at the answer. But the clues get much harder to read past level 60, where one picture can stand for two or three different words. That’s where most players get stuck for good.
So here’s the full answer list, covering level 1 through to 189. Past the table you’ll find how the game actually works, along with the reason it sometimes turns down a word that’s perfectly correct.
All Guess the Word Answers (Levels 1 to 189)
Some of the answers below look like mistakes when you first read them. Handbow on level 97 is the one people ask about most, but that really is the word the game accepts. Nothing is missing from the list either, so all 189 levels are covered.

What is Guess the Word in Roblox?
The whole game runs on that one idea, with two picture clues per level. On level 1 that’s rain beside a bow, which gives you Rainbow.
☔ + 🏹 = Rainbow
Nothing about that changes as you go, apart from the clue pairs getting harder. On level 8 a cup and a cake give you Cupcake. Level 13 puts sand next to a castle for Sandcastle.
Through the first fifty levels or so, each picture means the thing it shows and nothing more. Naming each one out loud usually gives you the answer straight away.
After that, the game starts going by how the two words sound together rather than what the pictures actually mean. That shift is what makes the second half so much harder. Redcap on level 92 and Handbow on level 97 are the clearest examples, because neither one is a thing you could picture.
Clearing all 189 levels unlocks the tools and gear the game shows off while you play. That’s the only reward waiting at the end, so there’s no prize beyond finishing and getting to use those items.
How do you play Guess the Word?
You type your guess into the box under the two pictures. The level clears on its own the moment the word is right, so there’s no submit button to press and nothing to confirm.
Wrong guesses cost you nothing at all. You can keep typing them until something works, so on a level that has you stuck, it’s worth trying every word that fits rather than waiting until you’re certain.
One more thing worth knowing is that the levels unlock in a fixed order from 1 to 189. There’s no way to jump ahead to a stage you like the look of. That’s why the table above is sorted by number, since your level number is the only thing you ever need to look up.
Why is your answer not being accepted?
Spacing is the most common reason, because the game only accepts one joined word and treats anything with a space in the middle as wrong. So typing “high school” gets your answer refused, while typing Highschool as a single word goes straight through and clears the level.
Bookworm, Icehockey, Policecar, and Cheeseburger all run into the same catch. Outside the game you’d write most of those with a space, or split them into two words entirely. Here they only work joined up.
So take the space out before you go hunting for a different word, because nine times out of ten the word was fine all along.
Tips for solving the harder levels
A small group of words carries dozens of levels between them, and learning to spot them saves a lot of guessing. Fire, moon, sand, water, snow, book, and cat turn up again and again across the answer list. So when one of your two pictures clearly points at any of those words, you only need to work out the second half of the answer.
Word order helps too. The describing word almost always lands first and the object second. That’s how level 13 gives you Sandcastle instead of Castlesand, and level 5 gives Sandbox instead of Boxsand. Once you know which of your two pictures is describing the other, you know which word goes first.
Saying both pictures out loud as plain words is the last trick worth using, since your ear often catches the joined word faster than your eye does. A picture of fire next to a picture of a man is easy to miss on screen, but “fire” and “man” spoken together give you Fireman right away.
TIP: When a level makes no sense at all, cover one picture with your finger and name the other one on its own. Level 74 looks like a single bike when you take in both pictures at once, but hiding the second image shows that the first one is a motor, which gives you Motorbike.
Which level are you stuck on?
The table above covers every stage in the game, from Rainbow on level 1 through to Typewriter on level 189, so any level you’re stuck on has an answer listed. Check the spacing rule first if a word keeps getting refused, because that’s the reason far more often than a wrong answer is.
If a future update pushes the game past level 189, leave the level number in the comments and the answer will get added to the table here.
