Top 5 Beginner’s Mistakes you should avoid in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds is an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) launched by Netmarble Inc. It was then published by Level 5, the original creators of the Ni No Kuni Franchise, on May 27th.

Since its release, the game has seen a massive increase in the player base. Like the other titles in the Ni No Kuni series, the cross worlds also feature two distinct worlds, the “Real World” and the “Fantasy World”, where players will spend most of their time.

Top 5 Mistakes That Beginners Should Avoid in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

Below is a list of a few mistakes you should avoid when starting in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds,

1. Equipment Summon

You can use equipment summon by giving gems, but we advise you not to do so. Gems are valuable resources in the world of Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, and you should be spending them somewhere else. As the equipment in the game is craftable with other resources, there is no need to summon them. Fun fact the drop rate of 4-star equipment from summons is almost identical to crafting.

To craft items, you will need territte, weapons crystals, and weapons recipes, and you can obtain territte and weapon crystals from chaos fields. There’s a low chance that the monsters in the chaos fields drop weapon recipes, but you can get it by doing your daily missions.

To craft, you need to go to the city of Evermore and visit Tumba and then choose the option to Craft Weapons And Armour.

2. Not Farming For EXP

Well, experience and levels matter a lot in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, and learning how to do it properly will make a ton of difference in the battles and missions you will get. Many players just skip these quests, which can be devastating in the long run.

The following are the ways to farm for exp:

In-Game Quests – The game provides you with many quests and reputation quests that will give you experience points and other in-game items which will help you increase your CP (Character Power). Don’t forget to do side reputation quests, as it will give you some exp when you are hard stuck on any level.

Swift Solution Quests – Many players just let these Swift Solution Quests sit, and some just completely forget about them, but we recommend you to do them every day as they give massive amounts of experience. You can complete them manually or just pay a small amount of gold to achieve them.

Buying Exp From Kingdom’s General Store – You can join a Kingdom once you reach level 16, and we recommend joining one as soon as possible. You get to buy experience and other rare in-game items from the shop, and you also get to play with your fellow kingdom (guild) mates and explore the game’s multiplayer side.

Farming In Chaos Fields – Chaos field is the best way to idle farm in Ni No Kuni. With different element monsters spawning everywhere, You can farm for many in-game items, including massive amounts of experience points. (TIP: Do not forget to use “Energy Potions” while farming in a Chaos Fields).

3. Not Utilizing Elemental Advantage

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds offers players to take advantage of the element types to gain extra 50% damage on monsters in the game. Knowing which element to play against certain monsters will give you an edge on the battlefield.

elemental advantage

Currently, the game has five elements:

  1. FIRE
  2. WATER
  3. EARTH
  4. DARK
  5. LIGHT

Fire counters Earth but is weak against Water, Earth counters Water but is weak against Fire, and Water counters Fire but is weak against Earth. While Dark and Light only counter each other.

So if you are facing a Fire element monster, we recommend Water-type weapons; when facing an Earth-type monster, we recommend you to use Fire-type weapons, and if you fight a water monster, use an Earth-type weapon to gain the upper hand.

(TIP: You can see the monster’s element type right beside their HP bar while engaging in battle.)
