Best PVE Builds for F2P Players in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

In Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, you can use three weapons simultaneously, two sub-weapons and one primary weapon. Your main weapon is the active weapon, and the other two are subs. You will gain the attack damage, elemental damage, and awakening effects for your primary weapon, but you only get the attacking damage and awakening effects for your sub-weapons. If your sub-weapon is the same element as your main weapon, then you get additional elemental attack damage as well.

We recommend that you make five decks, one for each element. Your deck will have Main weapon + Sub weapon + Sub weapon.

Main Weapon:

We recommend taking elemental advantages while engaging with an enemy or monsters. In Ni No Kuni, using your weapons based on their element is very important because using the wrong element against your enemies can cause you to lose the battle.

Ni No Kuni Crossworlds offers players to take advantage of the element types to gain extra 50% damage on monsters in the game. Knowing which element to play against certain monsters will give you an edge on the battlefield. Currently, the game has 5 elements,

The Five Elements in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds:

  1. FIRE
  2. WATER
  3. EARTH
  4. DARK
  5. LIGHT

Fire counters Earth but is weak against Water, Earth counters Water but is weak against Fire, and Water counters Fire but is weak against Earth. While Dark and Light only counter each other.

Element Advantage

So if you are facing a Fire element monster, we recommend Water-type weapons. When facing an Earth-type monster, we recommend you to use Fire-type weapons, and if you fight a water monster, use an Earth-type weapon to gain the upper hand.

(TIP: You can see the monster’s element type right beside their HP bar while engaging in battle.)

Which weapon should you use as your primary weapon?. Your main weapon should be the most potent weapon of each element. For free-to-play players, it’s either your 3-star or 4-star weapon. Do not level it up even if you use a 3-star weapon as your primary weapon! You just need to awaken it to add CP to your weapon and awaken the effect. The stat difference between 3-star and 4-star weapons is enormous, so we recommend that you only level up your 4-star weapon and do not invest in levelling up items in 3-star weapons.

Sub Weapons:

As a free-to-play player, your sub-weapons will be more important than your main weapon because you will use the same weapons in all your decks. This is because you won’t have many materials to upgrade your weapons. You will have to focus on the weapons you will use the most and the weapons which are the strongest for each element which is your sub-weapons.

sub weapon

Since you can use two sub-weapons, choose carefully. For example, your one sub-weapon can be a 4-star fire weapon to increase attack damage and awakening effects, and you will be causing a lot of damage. The second sub-weapon can be a 4-star earth weapon or Water. You can choose between a 4-star earth weapon or a 4-star water weapon.

Earth weapons increase primary skill damage. So you rely on your fundamental skills to deal the most damage and don’t have many attack special skills; the Earth is the way to go. For example, your hero will have more elemental skill damage, and it also reduces your cooldown timing of the skills. We highly recommend you use earth weapons because it has many advantages.

Water increases your special skill damage. So if you have unlocked strong special skills or if you have rare items, Water is the best weapon for you, but since you are free to play player, there’s a high chance you won’t ever get the rare solid items and rare special skills. So we recommend that you don’t go for the water weapon as your second sub-weapon.

Upgrading Your Weapon:

Fire + earth/ water is going to be the core for all your decks. It would be best if you upgraded them accordingly and adequately to get the best results from your weapons on the battlefield against your enemies.

upgrade

So which weapons should you upgrade?. You will need to prioritise your two sub-weapons since they are going to be the core of your decks. You will need to level up your core weapons and upgrade them as long as they are 4-star weapons.

If your core weapons are only 3-star weapons, only awaken them and do not use your upgrading material on them; prioritise them for your 4-star weapon only. Prioritising your weapon means that you use all the upgrading and levelling materials on the first and make your core weapons stronger.
