The Clash Royale offers you a fast-paced 3-5 minutes of competitive experience along with the card game’s satisfaction. Well, now that you are well acquainted with the game, let’s look at the top 10 tips and tricks for clash royale that can help you improve immensely. So, Let’s begin,
Top 10 Tips For Beginners in Clash Royale
Below we have listed the top 10 tips and tricks that will improve your gameplay immensely and help you reach your desired arena and trophy level. So, Let’s begin,
1. Use Tower Attack Units
Tower attacking cards like the hog rider, the giant or the lava hound or any other card that targets only buildings is a must to have in a deck. You can have either a tank or an agile unit; it depends on your deck and what you like, but having one is important as it will ensure that you are dealing some damage to the opponent’s towers, and that is what we need.
You can bait opponent’s cards with them or have them push a lane separately; anything works as long as you know you have a card that only hits towers. So, When building a deck, always try to include one or two cards that target only buildings.
2. Have a Good Balanced Deck
Having a deck with all the legendaries in the game will not make you a great player as long as you don’t know how you can balance cards and have cards that cover each other strengths and weaknesses. When building a deck, also consider keeping the average elixir cost around 4 or below 4 as this will give your deck more versatility on offence and defence.
Well, how to make a good deck? Have one swarm unit, one tank killer, one tank, one tower taker, one splash damage, and at least 1 air unit then experiment around with other cards along the journey.
If you ask us then, we will recommend that every deck should have at least 1 swarm unit to kill the enemy tank and 1 swarm killing unit like arrows, poison or anything to kill the enemy swarm unit and protect your tank.
3. Learn Troops Paring
Sending troops solo is just a call for a disaster, and obviously, solo troops will be easily killed by enemy tank killers and swarm units. So always have a plan when pairing your cards this, especially when counter-pushing using defensive semi tanks and with support units.
For example, giants are easily killed by swarm units like the skeleton army but add a bomber or a baby dragon, and it becomes a different story. Likewise, pair hog rider with fire spirits or ice spirits, and he becomes unstoppable. So, Always try to include the cards which complement each other this way; your cards have a better chance of connecting with the enemy tower.
4. Use Swarm Units
Swarm units are amazing cards. Yes, they are easy to deal with in normal circumstances, but when used correctly can stop almost all incoming combos. Swarm units are used mostly to win a positive elixir advantage.
Mostly swarm army helps you kill the enemy tank without wasting many resources, like killing the Pekka, which costs 7 elixirs with the help of 3 elixir skeleton army. Never forget that winning elixir battles is the key to winning games.
The Swarm army can be used both defensively and offensively, like when you used your swarm army to kill an enemy tank, and you still have some swarm units left on your side after killing the enemy tank, then just place the tank before them. They will march towards the enemy towers while the tank protects them from incoming damage.
5. Use Spells
Having a spell that you can cast anywhere on the map is better sometimes than having a swarm unit. Imagine your opponent’s tower is at 10 hp, and his defence is so strong that you can’t touch his tower in the final seconds only if you had a spell; even zap could have taken out that tower.
There are many spell combos that can define the outcome of the battle, such as the graveward freeze or poison, the musket/ magical archer fireball trade, and the list can go on forever. So, always try to include one or two spells in your deck based on your requirement.
6. Use Your Elixir Mindfully
Always ask yourself should I use my elixir here, or should I save it for push or defence later? Even the game sometimes suggests that not playing a card is the best play that you can make some time.
For example, if you know that the opponent musketeer is low on health and will probably get 1 or 2 hits on your tower at the begging of the game, I will leave it be. If the same game situation happens in the end-game scenarios, I will have to consider playing a card to defend it. At this point, we are just asking you not to waste the elixir when it is not needed.
Like, if you used all your elixir building a big push on one side and the enemy plays some cards like mini Pekka or hog rider, which can take out your tower within seconds, then you will not have anything left to defend your tower.
7. Building a Push
Many of the decks have a traditional; tank focus mainly on the pushing aspect of the game, and knowing how to build good pushes can surely help you win some games easily.
Well, pushes can sometimes be situational, but mostly we recommend you to build pushes from the back of your towers so that by the time your tank reaches the bridge, you have extra elixir to drop support and defensive units.
If your deck allows, you can also go for the counter push play and surprise your enemy. In Counter push, first, you try to take out the enemy tank and other units by deploying one or two cards, and when you have defeated the enemy unit, place your tank in front of your remaining unit and push towards the enemy tower.
8. Always play with Sound
We know this might not seem like a big mistake, but sometimes what you miss out on screen can be countered by audio. For example, rocket and goblin barrel or double goblin barrel are some decks that you cannot only rely on your eyes and will have to use audio clues. The audio can also help you know when you have enough elixir to play the cards.
If you still think you don’t need Sound when playing the clash royale, then you can’t be more wrong as you cannot enjoy the game to its fullest if you’re not playing it with Sound.
9. Distracting Oppoenst’s Cards
Earlier, we recommended you to use troops that only target buildings, and now we are going to tell you to use buildings to distract them from reaching your towers.
Funny? Yes, we know, but don’t forget the importance of buildings in the game clash royale as a building like an inferno tower can easily stop Pekka, lava hound, or even golem pushes with ease. Even a tombstone can stop half of the cards in the game.
The ideal place where you would want to place your building cards will be around the mid so you can easily distract the opponent’s cards.
10. Watch Your Replays
Learning from your mistakes is the best thing anyone can do in their game; sometimes, you freeze, play the wrong card, or maybe you overspend on the defence. Improving all the mistakes that made you lose your matches will help you overcome your weakness and make strategies so that you will be ready if the situation repeats itself.
Watching replay also helps you read the patterns in which opponents drop a card, so if the same pattern occurs in the future, you will know how to counteract it.
