1. Passive Ability (Colosaal Smash)

Enhacnes his next attack to deal 73 magic damage (15 + 100% bonus AD + 50% bonus AP + 60% Magic resist) to nearby enemy.

2. First Ability (winds of war)

Winds of War

Fires two windblasts that deal 70 magic damage (70 + 75% bonus AP) and converge into a tornado. The tornado deals magic damage equal to 8% (8 + 2%) of the target’s maximum health over 1.5 seconds.

3. Second Ability(Shield of Durand)

Passive: Every 12 seconds, upon taking magic damage, Galio gains a shield that absorbs 49 magic damage (8% health) for 3.5 seconds.  Hold: Enters a defensive stance, slowing himself by 25% up to 2 seconds. Take 25% (25 + 5% bonus AP + 8% magic resist) reduced magic damage and 12.5% (12.5 + 2.5% bonus AP + 4% magic resist) reduced physical damage.  Release: Deals 40 magic damage (40 + 60% AP) to nearby enemies and taunts them for 0.5-1.5 seconds. Increased with the hold time.

4. Third Ability(Justice Punch)

Galio dashes forward until he hits an enemy champion or terrain, dealing 90 magic damage (90 + 90% AP) to enemies and knocking them for 0.75 seconds. Deals 50% damage to minions.

5. Ultimate(Hero’s Entrance)

Grants Shield of Durand’s passive shield for 3.5 seconds to all allied champions near the target and designate the position as his landing spot. After 2.5 seconds, Galio arrives at the location dealing 150 magic damage (150 + 70% bonus AP) to nearby enemies and knocking them up for 0.75 seconds.

Which Galio Ability I Should upgrade first?

When upgrading Galio’s Ability, first upgrade the Q (winds of war) to the max level as it is the main source of her damage and wave clear. After that, upgrade E (Justice Punch) to the max level for sustainability and damage. Now, upgrade the W (Shield of Durand)  to the max level.

Early Game: 

Galio is an excellent counter to mage champions like Ahri, Oriana, and Aurelion Sol. In the early game, poke enemies with your first ability (war of winds) and third ability (Justice Punch). Galio gets magic resistance from his abilities so use it wisely against mage champions to trade more effectively. 

Mid Game: 

Galio has almost global ultimate like Twisted fate. Galio can teleport on near ally champions and also grants them shield from Durand’s passive. So, when playing as a Galio, stay in your lane, try to push turrets as much as you can, and use your ultimate to join your team in team fights. Galio’s Mid-game is pretty strong so try to engage in team fights as much as you can.

Late Game: 

In the late game, Galio is one of the best solo lane pushers as he can always help his teammates with his ultimate ability. Galio can one-shot enemies squishy target in the late game.
